Privacy Policy
The short version: Mackaboo Worlds and Mackaboo JR do not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no ads, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no chat and no links out of the apps. Everything a child makes stays on their device.
Who we are
Mackaboo Worlds and Mackaboo JR (“the apps”) are pretend-play games for children, made by Mack Toys, Inc. This policy covers the apps on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, Android phones, tablets and Chromebooks, Amazon Fire tablets and Samsung Galaxy devices, and on the web.
What we collect
Nothing. The apps do not ask for a name, email address, age, location, photos, contacts or any other personal information, and they contain no third-party code for advertising or analytics. They do not use the camera or microphone. They make no network connections of their own.
What stays on the device
What a child makes — the critters they design and name, where everything was left, the paint on the walls, the globes they decorate and the quests they finish — is saved only on the device, in the app’s own storage (or the browser’s local storage on the web). It is never sent to Mack Toys or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Purchases
The apps offer optional one-time purchases of extra packs. Every purchase, and the grown-ups corner where purchases are restored, sits behind a grown-up question. Purchases are handled entirely by the store the app came from (Apple’s App Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore or the Samsung Galaxy Store) under that store’s own terms and privacy policy; Mack Toys never receives payment details or any information about who bought what. The apps ask the store which packs are owned each time they open and keep no record of purchases of their own. There are no subscriptions. The web versions have no store and make no purchases.
Game controllers
With a game controller, the apps read the buttons only to move the on-screen pointer. Nothing about them is stored or sent.
Children’s privacy
The apps are made for children and are designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K and the Apple Kids Category, Google Play Families and Amazon Appstore children’s app rules. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, there is no information about a child for a parent to review or delete. If you believe information has reached us anyway, contact us and we will delete it.
Terms of use
On the App Store, the apps are licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Mack Toys does not use a custom license agreement. On Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply. On the Amazon Appstore and the Samsung Galaxy Store, those stores’ own terms of use apply.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date before the change takes effect. We will never begin collecting personal information from children without first obtaining verifiable parental consent.
